About the Role

As Head of IT Operations, you’ll be responsible for one of NOBA’s most critical areas - the stability, efficiency, and scalability of our tech platform. You’ll lead two teams and several specialists across infrastructure, workplace, support, incident management, applications and IT projects, ensuring that our tech foundation is robust, secure, and support our growth.

This is a senior and hands-on leadership role where you combine operational excellence with long-term planning and strategic decision-making. You’ll work closely with leaders across Tech and the business, driving improvements, maturing processes, and accelerating our cloud journey.

Main responsibilities

• Lead and develop the IT Operations organization (23 colleagues, including five direct reports), covering Infrastructure, IT Support, Application Management, IT Projects, and Incident Management.

• Mature roles, processes, workflows, and contribute to strategic decisions as part of the Product & Tech management team.

• Oversee NOBA’s cloud environments (Azure) as well as the IT Workplace (devices, tooling, identity and authentication).

• Ensure effective IT support operations and manage recurring activities such as ICT controls, access management, and formal reporting.

• Govern and drive the performance of external system providers within your domain.

• Track, report, and improve key risk, control, and performance metrics across the domain.

• Drive adoption of new technologies, including cloud capabilities, automation, and AI, to improve efficiency and delivery speed.

Some travels is required to our Oslo or Stockholm office depending on your location.

We’re looking for you who have:

• Extensive experience in IT Operations, including infrastructure, cloud operations, IT workplace and service management - with a solid understanding of how to run critical environments where stability, compliance and speed must co-exist.

• Strong leadership experience, preferably leading leaders, with a proven ability to set direction, build trust and drive accountability.

• Background from a regulated industry such as banking, financial services, telecom, government, or similar.

• Cloud experience (Azure, AWS or GCP): you don’t need to be a hands-on specialist, but you can challenge, guide and make sound decisions.

• Fluent communication skills in Swedish or Norwegian, and English.

It’s a plus if you experience in:

Experience in organizational integrations, AI or automation initiatives, budget responsibility for large IT domains, identity & access management, workplace services, or relevant technical education.
