Product Owner - Packaging Systems

Role Summary

As Product Owner for Packaging Systems, you’ll maximize business value from our applications by owning the system roadmap and collaborating with our Agile teams and global stakeholders. You’ll align diverse regional needs into unified, strategic solutions, drive continuous improvement, manage changes and releases, and support operational excellence across Packaging Logistics. You’ll handle multi-brand, multi-market, and multi-system complexity to ensure high performance today and readiness for tomorrow.

Job Responsibilities

•    Product Ownership: Manage the full lifecycle of Packaging Systems and their roadmaps — from development to phase-out — ensuring alignment with business goals and value delivery.
•    Backlog & Agile Delivery: Define and prioritize user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria with global stakeholders to secure high-quality, business-driven releases.
•    Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage regional stakeholders across Europe, the Americas, and Asia to balance local needs with global strategies.
•    Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with logistics, IT, architecture, and digitalization teams to ensure systems and processes evolve together.
•    Change & Release Management: Lead structured rollouts, migrations, and updates with proper documentation, training, and communication.
•    Continuous Improvement: Drive enhancements through feedback, analytics, and strategic initiatives.
•    Operational Excellence: Ensure stable daily operations and high system availability.
•    Strategic & Cross-Brand Projects: Contribute to global initiatives (e.g., China and TRATON projects) ensuring integration, scalability, and compliance.
•    Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal standards, data security, GDPR, audit, and sustainability requirements.

Who You Are

We are looking for a senior professional with solid experience in IT Product Ownership within international and cross-functional environments. You combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, confidently navigating both technical complexity and stakeholder alignment in a fast-moving logistics context.
 

Your Profile
•   Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or IT.
•   5–10 years of experience as Product Owner/Manager or within Supply Chain/Engineering.
•   Strong cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
•   Experience in packaging logistics, IT transformation, or system integration (APIs, EDI) is an advantage.
•   Knowledge of Agile methods (Scrum, SAFe); Jira/Confluence experience is a plus.
•   Self-Driven, adaptable, analytical, structured, problem-solving & solution-oriented  with strong communication and leadership skills.
•   Fluent in English; other languages (German, Swedish, etc.) are a plus.
•   Occasional international travel required.

 

Preferred Certifications: SAFe POPM, PROSCI, TOGAF, or similar.
