ABC Labs is looking for an exceptional Business Controller/Finance OP

We are innovating at the frontier of diagnostics by combining software, robotics, data science, medical consultation, lab automation, and operational excellence to create end-to-end products that span the entire spectrum of user needs - and become exponentially more efficient over time.

Founded as an impact project during the pandemic, ABC grew into Sweden’s largest COVID-19 testing lab, conducting up to 28% of national testing under public health contracts exceeding $180 million. Our R&D efforts have led to three national screening programs and nine publications.

We are now applying this infrastructure to a new frontier: substance abuse testing at workplaces - a complex, highly regulated, and fragmented value chain growing at >10% CAGR across Europe and the U.S., and in urgent need of scalable, intelligent solutions.

What you'll do:

• Manage financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support operational, tactical and strategic decision-making.
• Create and maintain profitability models, unit economics calculations and other tools and KPIs.
• Guide and support other functions in the organization to ensure cost-effective and sustainable growth.
• Make KPIs and other financial and operational data available through various stakeholders using modern and intuitive tools and processes.
• Oversee tax, auditing, procurement and investment processes.
• Maintain relationships with financial and legal partners and ensure effective collaboration with business units on financial and operational matters.
• Assist the CFO in driving potential capital raises, M&A processes and equity investments.

You:

• Have experience working as a business controller or in mid-senior finance and analysis roles.
• Thrive in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment, handling a wide range of analytical and operational topics, with exposure to evolving financial assumptions in multiple innovation streams operating simultaneously.
• Have experience from startups & scaleups and technology companies, preferably in venture capital and/or PE-backed companies.
• Demonstrate strong financial skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues.
• Enjoy participating in detailed operational tasks and topics, while maintaining tactical focus.
• Are an effective people manager with experience in guiding cross-functional teams and supporting colleagues in various seniority levels.

The Practical Stuff

Based in Stockholm (some travel may be required)
You’ll report directly to the CFO
