Strategic Planner to The Barn - Stockholm, Solna

Are you passionate about transforming insight into impactful creativity? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where strategy fuels bold, brilliant work? At The Barn, Arla’s in-house agency, we are now looking for a Strategic Planner to join our growing Swedish team in Stockholm, Solna.

 

As the first planner on the ground in Sweden you will play a key role in building and embedding strategic planning in our Swedish Barn. Simultaneously you will help shape, build and ensure the success of a range of our brands, from global brands like Lurpak, Castello, and Starbucks to our local icons like Arla Ko, Pucko, and Arla Köket.


How you will make an impact
In this role, you will be instrumental in driving strategic excellence across a diverse portfolio of brands. Working closely with account managers, global planners, creatives, and brand teams, you will:

  • Lead hands-on strategic development for brand and communications planning across Arla’s global and Swedish brands.
  • Build impactful above- and below-the-line strategies that are both insight- and commercially driven.
  • Craft insightful briefs and champion creativity that sparks emotional connection between our brands and their audiences.
  • Identify new opportunities for brand growth and help guide long-term business planning alongside our brand teams.
  • Actively collaborate across The Barn – both in Sweden and with global teams in Århus, Denmark – to develop best-in-class creative output.
  • Contribute to cross-agency thinking on consumer behaviour, food inspiration, and creative effectiveness.
  • Shape and evolve The Barn Sweden’s strategic planning capabilities, helping to define how we work today – and how we should work tomorrow.

Functionally strong:

  • Able to simplify complexity and communicate it in an inspiring, digestible way.
  • Skilled at rallying people around a strategic direction.
  • Passionate about outstanding creative work – and the strategy that fuels it.
  • Curious about audiences, and comfortable working with qualitative insight, data analysis, and research partners.
  • Experienced in working within cross-agency teams.
  • Confident in presenting and influencing stakeholders.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written.

 

Personally exceptional:

  • Ambitious and imaginative.
  • Inspiring and inclusive.
  • Always learning and relentlessly results-focused.

 

Your background:

  • 3+ years of agency experience.
  • A strong track record in creative development and strategic planning.
