About the role:

You will be a part of a professional team within SEB Group CRO organization that ensures quality of models used for measuring credit risk. We conduct in-depth reviews of the models to ensure quality performance by assessing model design and modelling methodologies, performance from the statistical point of view, data quality, implementation, regulatory compliance, and usage. We are presenting insights and proposing recommendations to the SEB Group CRO management as well as are closely working with the model developers, owners, users, and other key stakeholders.

 

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and enabling the delivery of credit risk model validations across SEB Group. You will work in a dynamic and growing team, helping to implement a structured, incremental and stage-gated approach to validation projects, while also supporting ongoing validation operations. Your focus will be on ensuring smooth collaboration across teams, maintaining clear communication, and driving operational efficiency. By managing timelines, facilitating stakeholder interactions, and supporting process enablement, you will help ensure validations are delivered with consistency, transparency, and regulatory alignment. Your work will contribute directly to the integrity and efficiency of SEB’s model risk management framework. This role offers visibility across SEB’s CRO organization and opportunities to contribute to strategic model governance initiatives.

 

The team is located in Vilnius, but you will work in close interaction with the experienced professionals in SEB Group CRO organization across Nordic and Baltic countries.

As a Project Manager within Credit Risk Model Validation, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing validation planning and execution timelines, ensuring milestones are met and dependencies are managed across parallel validation and modelling streams
  • Facilitating regular updates on validation progress, identifying timeline risks, and escalating issues as needed to ensure timely resolution
  • Acting as a transversal link between the validation team and the modelling PMO, and coordinating with other relevant functions
  • Managing interactions with governance bodies and cross-functional teams to ensure transparency and consistency in reporting and decision-making
  • Coordinating onboarding and logistics (e.g., laptops, accesses, trainings) for internal and external team members, supporting rapid team expansion
  • Supporting the planning and execution of the annual validation cycle, ensuring alignment with broader organizational timelines and priorities
  • Tracking the status of validation recommendations, maintaining records in the model risk management system, and supporting reporting activities
  • Facilitating communication and collaboration between validation teams and key stakeholders, including model owners, monitoring functions, risk management, business units, and IT
  • Assisting in the preparation of materials for internal committees, model governance forums, regulatory reviews, and audits, ensuring consistency and traceability across validation activities
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline validation-related workflows and reduce coordination burdens on validation team leads

Who we are looking for:

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in project management or risk management within the financial sector, preferably with exposure to credit risk or model lifecycle processes
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams and adapt to changing priorities
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ideally in a regulated environment
  • A university degree in finance, economics, business administration, engineering, or a related field, with project management certification considered an advantage
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., stage-gate, Agile, JIRA, Confluence), and with model risk management systems
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as (e.g. CRR, EBA guidelines, EGIM) is considered an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively across teams and seniority levels
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
  • A proactive and structured approach, with a strong commitment to transparency, consistency, and continuous improvement 
  • Based in Vilnius, with the ability to work on-site at least 60% of the time to support collaboration
