HR Business Partner

About the job

HR Business Partner

Our story goes back more than 150 years, to the chilly southern coast of Scandinavia. From our early success in Sweden and Denmark, we’ve grown into the world’s leading specialist producer of plant-based oils, employing more than 4,000 people across the globe.

We work with our customers to make the products you love even better. The oils we produce go into making your chocolate extra-creamy or putting the crunch into your croissant. And it’s not just food — we work across industries to make products that are higher quality, healthier and better for the planet.

Everything we do is about Making Better Happen™.

AAK LOCATION

This position is based at AAK’s headquarters in Malmö, with regular presence required at the Dalby production site.

About the role

Where curiosity meets impact – and culture is something we build together every day.

Are you the kind of person who can talk strategy in the morning and put on safety shoes in the afternoon? Then keep reading!

Are you ready to take the next step in your HR career and help shape the future of our organization? We’re looking for a driven, curious, and forward-thinking HR Business Partner to join our team in Malmö, supporting both our head office and our production site outside Lund. In this role, you’ll be the vital link between HR and the business – translating strategy into action and ensuring our people agenda drives real results. You’ll work across the full HR spectrum, from talent and performance to engagement and organizational development. Collaboration is key, and you’ll be part of a strong, supportive HR team that includes both specialists and HR Business Partners based in Karlshamn. We believe in teamwork, diversity, and the power of clear communication – and we’re looking for someone who shares those values and is eager to make an impact where people and business meet.

Responsibilities

  •
Drive the People agenda and support leaders across both office and production environments, with a focus on career development, organizational effectiveness, labor law, and building a strong HR structure.
  •  Lead and contribute to HR projects that shape how we work, grow, and collaborate.
  •  Actively nurture and develop our company culture – because culture doesn’t just happen, it’s something we build together.
  •  Provide proactive HR support to both white-collar and blue-collar employees, ensuring consistency, fairness, and engagement.
  •  Challenge old habits (yes, we have them too!) and inspire change through clear, inclusive, and engaging communication.
  •  Translate complex ideas into simple, relatable messages that build understanding and trust across all levels of the organization.
  •  Work closely with the HR team in Karlshamn – collaboration and shared success are part of who we are. You’ll also partner with our European and Global HR colleagues to ensure alignment and drive the People agenda forward.
  •  Think ahead and act with curiosity – what we believe we need today might not be what we truly need tomorrow.
  •  Serve as the bridge between HR and the business, ensuring alignment between people strategies and business goals, and making a tangible impact on results.

About you

  •
You hold a bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  •  At least 5 years’ relevant work experience, which spans both office and industrial environments, giving you a versatile HR perspective.
  •  Fluent in Swedish and English, able to communicate effectively in both languages.
  •  Skilled at navigating complex matrix organizations and influencing effectively across teams.
  • Experience in negotiating with unions, combined with strong knowledge of Swedish labor laws and regulations.
  •  Driven, innovative, and willing to challenge the status quo to make meaningful improvements.
  •  Deeply passionate about company culture, with the ability to make it tangible in daily work.
  •  Build trust and credibility through clear, confident communication at all levels.
  •  Approachable and humble, thriving both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  •  Naturally curious and forward-thinking, always seeking better ways to get things done.
  •  Acts as a change agent, confidently coaching and supporting leaders to achieve their goals and implement strategy.
  •  Available for occasional travel to AAK sites in Europe.

In return AAK offers

  • Join a pioneering company in specialty oils and fats, driving innovation and sustainability.
  •  In AAK you can work across 25+ countries, gaining international exposure and collaborating with a diverse team.
  •  AAK invests in your development with training, mentorship, and clear career paths.
  •  You will contribute to a greener world with AAK's sustainability-focused approach.
  •  Join a diverse and inclusive workplace that values every individual's perspective and talents.
