We offer you in this role, your main responsibility is to monitor systems, networks, and mechanical equipment, while driving continuous improvements in Kappahl's logistics processes. You will support daily operations together with a team of specialists and maintenance technicians, ensuring high operational reliability and smooth communication — both internally and with external partners.

You will:

  • Specify requirements and test new functionality in existing IT systems and managing subsystems.
  • Participate and is responsible for the technological development work and evaluation of new IT related products.
  • Technical troubleshooting & incident management, document errors and root causes, and propose corrective actions
  • Serve as System Owner with procurement responsibility for Logistics systems such as Astro, Vanderlande systems, etc . Superuser in Kappahl system e.g. Dynamics 365.
  • Ensure optimal performance and continuous operation of both hardware and software systems & ensure that hardware and software provide the capacity and productivity that is expected.
  • Test responsible in relations to new releases and upgrades (ERP, WMS, WCS)

Skills & Requirements

We’re looking for someone with a strong interest in technology and automation, and a passion for continuous development. You have the ability to think ahead, prioritize, and organize your work based on workload, business goals, and timelines. You work in a structured and methodical way, with a clear sense of ownership and the confidence to make independent decisions with the ability to collaborate with others and be part of a team.

We value the following experience and skills:

  • Experience in warehouse operations and automated material handling systems (knowledge of Vanderlande or shuttle solutions is a plus)
  • Familiarity with WMS systems, especially Astro WMS
  • Skills in other IT systems such as SCADA and Dynamics 365
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to analyze data and create reports and dashboards (e.g., using SQL-based reporting tools)
  • Knowledge in replacing and upgrading hardware (terminals, scanners, printers) connected to different systems
