Background:

At Magna, we care about our customers and end-users, the environment, our employees and the community. Caring for these stakeholder groups is core when we conduct our business.

We are looking for 1-2 students, to perform a life cycle assessment (LCA) based on the Camera platform, focused on environmental impacts. The assessment will be performed according to ISO LCA standards with the goal to present a Carbon Footprint for each of the ingoing parts of the platform. The study will aim to process the full life cycle "Cradle-to-Grave" within the system boundaries of the study.

We are ready to take the next step regarding the environmental impact of our products.

Purpose: Perform a Life cycle assessment for Magna SVS350 Camera System.

Learning objectives:
  • Life cycle assessment awareness and application knowledge in the automotive industry.
  • Access and get trained on the latest LCA software and methodologies, under the guidance of industry experts.

Number of student(s): 1-2

Student background: CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), Industrial engineering, Environmental engineering, Electrical engineering, Industrial engineering or similar

Extent: 30 credits (Master)

Start: Spring 2024
