The C&PC division has a Data & Analytics Office to accelerate the journey towards a more data driven and customer-oriented bank. We are therefore looking to recruit a Junior Data Analyst to the team.
About the job
In the position as Data Analyst,you will work with ensuring access to high quality data to generate value for our business and our customers.
You will work with the data that is at the core of our business and use it to create high-value datasets. You will work closely with stakeholders from all parts of SEB to make sure that short-term and long-term objectives are met, and that data and data quality is an important part of processes, products and mindsets. In this role you will develop a deep understanding of how data is used by the business, and how IT applies technology to make the data available.
You will assist projects in gathering large amounts of information and structure the data to draw conclusions. Furthermore, you will be a part of optimizing processes to increase the overall efficiency in the daily work. You will be involved in all phases from creation, management and consumption of data and serve as an ambassador to inspire and facilitate. You will collaborate closely with the colleagues in the Data & Analytics Office to create customer and business value.
Here is some of the responsibilities that you will face in the role:
· Promote and facilitate reusability of data within the division
· Support the division with basic analysis or data aggregation for different business purposes
· Conduct database analysis and monitoring of data flows
· Perform data quality controls in a defined data areas, i.e., to initiate corrections, to follow up and report on data quality issues according to the process for structured error handling
· Responsible for keeping track of where the data is stored and how it can be retrieved
· Close cooperating with Data Stewards in securing proper data flows
· Be the expert for how data is used both internally and externally (analysis, regulatory reporting, etc.)
· Create and maintain metadata, and by doing so, make it easy for data consumers to find and reuse data
The position is located in Arenastaden, Solna.
Who you are?
You have experience in working with large amounts of data and assessing its quality, value and potential uses. You have excellent skills in working with large amounts of data within Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Excel and/or any other tool or language and the drive to learn and improve your skills in this area. You are expected to be familiar with the development of essential data management capabilities such as data quality management. In addition, it is meriting if you have an understanding for system architecture, databases, and data flows that support business processes, you need some practical experience of information management systems and understanding for data analytics.
You have a M.Sc. of Business and Economics, Engineering, or another relevant field. Furthermore, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish. As a person you are result- and team oriented, service minded and have a strong drive to develop and push for great achievements in fast changing complex environments.
