Risk Operations Analyst

About Open Payments

Open Payments is a VC-funded FinTech founded in 2017, on a mission to transform how financial infrastructure works in the Open Banking era. Our open and secure API provides the market infrastructure needed for successful Open Banking based on PSD2, enabling seamless access to bank APIs across the EU.

We’re a highly skilled team based in a centrally located office in Stockholm. We collaborate closely, move fast and value ideas over titles. Here, you’ll have the freedom (and responsibility) to build processes, tools and strategies that make a real difference.

What you’ll do:

• Proactively analyse large datasets to detect trends in fraudulent behavior, anomalies and loss patterns
• Turn complex data into clear rules, automation and operational improvements
• Document insights to refine models, rules and decision-making processes
• You will report directly to our Chief Product Officer, who also serves as our Payment Service Manager (“Betaltjänstansvarig”) and collaborate with data science, product and engineering teams to improve fraud detection
• Partner with customer support and sales to address risk-related questions and challenges
• Respond rapidly to incidents requiring quick analysis and decisive action
• Stay informed about new regulations and emerging market trends
• Collaborate with providers of AML tools to ensure effective solutions
• Represent Open Payments in various AML forums and industry events
  
  

Who you are:

• 2–5 years of experience in fraud or risk analysis, ideally within FinTech, payments or e-commerce
• Knowledge of concepts like account takeover, friendly fraud, identity theft and stolen payment data
• Comfortable working with large datasets
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable logic and improvements
• A natural “fraud radar” – you spot patterns others miss
• Communicative, self-driven and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English & Swedish
