SEB Business & Retail Banking (BRB) provides all financial services to small and medium-sized companies as well as private individuals in Sweden. This division gives access to the bank's total financial service offering via SEB's digital channels, telephone, and SEB branch offices. The division is undergoing a strong digitalization transformation of both business models and technical platforms.

We’re looking for driven, forward-thinking professionals to join our CIO office —a dynamic group responsible for aligning the division’s strategy with operational excellence and customer needs.

About the job

In the position as Head of CIO Officeyou will lead a team of approximately 10 people working with portfolio management, business architecture, business development, and project management to drive prioritized initiatives across segments, products, and channels. You and the team will work actively with portfolio management and secure strong collaboration with colleagues working with customer journeysto ensure that we can connect our portfolio priorities with key customer insights. In the role you will act as Deputy CIO to the CIO representative in divisional management, Elisabeth Suzuki.

You will manage the team, collaborate with and coach your team members, and work closely with colleagues from other divisions and group units within SEB. While you will focus on and reside in BRB, you will also engage with other divisions and group units in SEB.

In the long term, you will also work to ensure the continuous improvement and adaptation of the business architecture to meet evolving business needs.

Your responsibilities include:

Enabling the transformation from vision to execution through clear architectural guidance and supportive portfolio steering
Ensuring divisional alignment with SEB strategic goals and IT strategy.
Accelerate strategic initiatives through business development, organizational development, and project management.
Defining and evolving the business architecture to ensure coherence, alignment with strategic priorities and adaptation to meet evolving business needs.
Managing and continuously refining the development portfolio to balance innovation, risk, and value delivery. Securing transparency and support to data driven decision making.
Providing structured views of BRB’s strategic transformations aiming for effective governance and support.
Formulating and managing the strategic IT agenda and the IT-related parts of the business plan for the division together with management and business areas.
Representing Business & Retail Banking in relevant group and divisional forums.

The position requires strong teamwork and collaboration skills as work will be performed in close collaboration within the team and across business functions. As head of the team, you will be responsible for aligning divisional strategies and the way of working with counterparties at group level. You will be part of the Management Team within your line organization at Data Analytics & CIO.

The position is in Arenastaden, Solna.

Who you are?

To excel in this role, you should have practical work experience and be well-versed in communication and collaboration between business and IT at all levels. Proven leadership experience is essential, as you will be working in a large context with various stakeholders. Additionally, it is highly beneficial if you have practical experience in roles within both business and technology line organizations, preferably at both strategic and tactical levels. Experience in technology, business architecture, or portfolio management is meriting as well as knowledge about SAFe or other scaled agila frameworks. You will also be responsible for leading senior specialists, ensuring their expertise is effectively utilized to achieve organizational goals.

You have a M.Sc. of Business and Economics, Engineering or another relevant field. Furthermore, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish. As a person you are result- and team-oriented and have a strong drive to develop and push for great achievements in fast changing complex environments.
