The responsibility of GPM, Group Product Management, is to balance commercial needs with industrial solutions and steer the funding of capabilities to reach the result defined by TRATON Executive Board.  
To secure outstanding customer value we need a very strong business and market driven product planning, and therefore a knowledgeable commercial solution planning team. We have built and want to further strengthen the collaboration with and between the brands Sales & Marketing functions to better capture the customer and business needs in our product and service roadmaps.

TRATON has this vacancy in the Group Product Management Department, with location in one of the TRATON offices (preferable in Södertälje). 

Catharina Modahl Nilsson, Head of Group Product Management of TRATON Group, is looking for a person to take over the position of Head of Group Commercial Solution Planning.  

Role Summary

In this role, you are responsible for heading the function that manages the commercial requirements coming from the brands and to structure, align and prioritize them, considering group strategy and brand positioning. Key tasks and responsibilities are outlined as follows:

• Lead Group Commercial Solution Planning, a very senior and experienced team.
• Be a driver in TRATON’s transformation journey in line with our overall strategy. 
• Be a peer to the brands’ Head of Sales & Marketing, to the GPM Product Planning and Portfolio Management functions as well as to the Group R&D Area Heads to optimize the Group roadmaps.
• Capture the customer and business needs from all TRATON Group brands, making sure we prioritize the needs that really gives value to our customers. 
• Optimize the group result by effectively working together with the brands to implement the brands’ commercial positioning in the market.
• Own the Product Differentiation strategy and methodology to create competitive TMS performance steps for all brands.
• Together with the brands S&M functions secure strategic and product management work to optimize the group result. 
• Be member of the Traton Commercial Decision forums (CSC, CDCs) to ensure a strong connection between the brands commercial teams, GPM and Group R&D. 
• Be a member of the GPM Management team 

Who you are

We are looking for a Senior Executive Manager and leader with a proven track record. You have a commercial mindset having ideally worked at a Commercial Truck Manufacturer for example within Strategy or Sales & Marketing functions, and preferably with strong experience on product development. Preferably you have an established network within the TRATON group and Trucking Industry. You are used to collaborate with Group Executives. As a person you are driven, self-motivated and structured with a high level of integrity. You enjoy working in an international fast-pace environment and use your flexibility and creativity to manage various levels of challenges. To succeed in this challenging environment your ability to build trust and create successful collaboration is key. You dare to challenge and can at the same time act as a mediator in a professional way. We value diversity in our management team and see experience from multiple brands within our group or the truck manufacturers industry as a strong merit.

You hold a university degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field, and you communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
