Commodity Sourcing Manager - Exhaust & Power Solutions

Role Summary
As a purchaser in the team for Power Solutions and Exhaust your main tasks are to handle the current business by securing the deliveries and reaching the business plan. This requires that you are able to work very independent and have integrity in order to balance the different parts of the role. You are also expected to be active in the development of the team and our ways of working. 

Our office is based in Södertälje and you are expected to be in the office most of the time. If needed we have the opportunity to work from home or our office in central Stockholm. You are expected to visit suppliers on a regular basis, which requires traveling.

Who You Are                      
You have experience from previous procurement work, or other commercial experience as well as knowledge about manufacturing and/or development work within the manufacturing industry. You have knowledge of the automotive industry and the special requirements it has. You are able to work with multiple tasks at once in a complex environment. As a purchaser you have strong negotiation skills and a proven record of creating and implementing supplier and category strategies.

You are working according to the processes in place and have the integrity to stand up for what you believe in in different forums. You will also be required to present your cases and ideas in different forums within procurement and cross functionally.

We are working close to our colleagues within different functions of the company as well as external partners. A very important part is to network and create and maintain relations both within Scania and externally.

As a person, you are positive, pragmatic and contributes to team spirit within the team and cross functionally. It is important that you are structured, analytical and solution oriented, since the environment in which we are operating changes rapidly. You are delivering what you promise and sometime go beyond your responsibility to reach long term and sustainable results.

You have a masters degree in engineering or business, can express yourself fluently in Swedish and English. The work requires some travels.
