Role Summary
The development of TRATON’s internal combustion engines is entering an exciting new phase. We have developed world-leading engines, gearboxes, and exhaust aftertreatment systems. Now we are scaling up the global industrial system, improving performance, adapting to upcoming emissions legislation, and launching products across new markets and brands within the TRATON Group.
Internal combustion engines will remain central to our portfolio for years to come. Our continued development is essential for reaching sustainability goals through reduced emissions, improved fuel consumption, and renewable fuels. Meanwhile, our way of working is transforming — we are increasing our ability to manage complexity, speed, and quality to meet future customer needs.
Job Responsibilities
As Unit Manager, you will lead the Valvetrain team responsible for the valve train on our common engine platforms – including components such as camshafts, rocker arms, valves, cam phasers, and compression release brakes. These systems open up new possibilities in how we control engine behavior and performance.

You will also be a key contributor in cross-functional forums, with tight interaction between R&D, production, purchasing, and project management — both on a strategic and operational level.
Who You Are
You are an inclusive and forward-thinking leader with a Master of Science in Engineering – preferably within Design, Materials Engineering or Production – and have several years of experience in leading technical development teams. You are confident making decisions in complex environments, and your coaching leadership style brings out the best in others. You will collaborate across functions and cultures and have strong communication skills in English.
