What will you be doing?

As a Chief Architect (or Domain Architect as we formally call it internally) you will have a key role and be part of an exciting transformation journey of the Business and Retail digital solutions area, leading a team of Solution Architects. Your primary focus will be to set the tone in the transformational journey that we have embarked to thrive in the new world of cloud and data and become the number 1 digital retail bank in Sweden. This area is undergoing a strong digitalization trend and transformation with a rapidly growing interest in transforming the bank and its customer interaction. The transformation is based on customer demands of an excellent digital service as well as technology advancements within e.g. use of data, CRM, next best actions and insight driven customer dialogue. There is no doubt that being data driven for real is key and data will be the core of future digital services. Our solutions are used both by external customer segments and other domains, with the target to ensure that we have flexible, modern and sustainable solutions, to enable our customers to reach their goals.

As a Chief Architect you will be responsible for:

Continuously implement and improve the domain target architecture aligned to the enterprise architecture in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
Your will set the domain architecture for the Domain that will guide our solution architects to accommodate needs and strategies from customers, SEB’s business and IT into a workable portfolio of solutions.
You will be a part of a community for architects throughout the organization to shape the architectural targets for SEB. In this community, you proactively support the development of the architecture community with common ways of working, governance, architectural principles and guidelines.
You will be responsible for the overall solution architecture to meet customer and business needs. This requires a strong understanding of the details combined with a strategic and visionary mindset.
You will always strive to strike the right balance in between needs from customers, business and IT into a workable portfolio of solutions.

Who are we looking for?

You have proven experience from working with architecture. It would be a clear advantage if you have experience from data architecture, APIs, event driven design, component base and micro services architecture, cloud and Security.
Proven ability to manage, lead and inspire others to reach architectural objectives and solution concepts
You have designed systems and written code for several years before and you are passionate about establishing robust and flexible architecture that involves different technologies and platforms
You are keeping yourself updated on relevant trends and have great interest in new technologies, especially transformation to cloud.
We believe you possess excellent networking and communication skills both within business and IT.
Experience from creation of digital customer interactions and customer journeys in both App and web with interacting sales tools is meriting.
Experience from driving transformation journeys is meritorious such as the cloud journey
You have the ability to engage people, build relationships and have an entrepreneurial mindset
Fluent in English and Swedish.
