About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant for our Core Accounting Unit. Our unit responsibility is to manage the Accounts Receivable process for multiple branches of the bank, ensuring the seamless execution of financial transactions and maintaining strong internal controls. This role offers a great opportunity to work in dynamic finance environment, where you will be part of an end-to-end AR process, contributing to process improvements, financial accuracy, and business growth. You will work closely with multiple levels within Global Finance, which represents a great opportunity to gain experience in many aspects of a finance department in a rapidly growing digital organisation. 

As a Senior accountant you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring flawless execution of Accounts Receivable transactions and ensuring the smooth delivery of all AR related activities.
• Overseeing the end-to-end AR process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
• Performing and ensuring the quality of AR internal controls and KPI reporting.
• Driving the resolution of complex queries raised by employees, managers, finance partners & other internal and external stakeholders.
• Solving various ad-hoc questions related to different areas and contributing to the audit process.
• Managing stakeholders by participating in meetings, escalating and resolving issues, aligning expectations, and fostering cooperation.
• Collaborating closely with all involved parties (projects, cross-functional teams, etc.) and helping them to follow the deadlines and solve more complex issues.
• Assisting and training team members in completing their work, acting as a backup when necessary, mentoring junior team members, and supporting the onboarding process.
• Escalating issues and concerns to Unit manager and proposing remediating actions.
• Handling undefined situations and ensuring accurate accounting processes.

Who we are looking for:

• More than 3 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
• A degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills: friendly, approachable, and motivated, with a strong work ethic and high degree of integrity.
• A mature attitude towards challenges and problem solving, with creativity in improving ways of working.
• The ability to work both in a team and independently, while effectively handling time pressure and meeting KPI and SLA targets.
• A proactive, "can-do" mindset.
