This key role will play a pivotal part in shaping our supplier management, contracting, sourcing excellence, logistics, project delivery quality and in the end, customer satisfaction.

Role Overview

As the Sourcing Manager at Solnet Group, you will be an active stakeholder in the PV delivery projects. You will coordinate, negotiate and administrate sourcing proposals, bids, and contracts with suppliers/vendors. You will be a multitasking person in a multicultural environment. Even the selected person will be located in Germany or Finland, the SCM-related tasks can be for projects in Europe. Our main markets are Nordics, DACH, Benelux, UK. Reporting to the CDO, you will join a dedicated procurement team in developing seamless delivery chain together with sales, engineering, project management office and operations & maintenance team. You will have the opportunity to be part of one of the fastest growing companies in European energy industry, while ensuring that Solnet Group grows as a number one choice for solar energy for C&I real estate owners and users. In addition to these market volatility services, O&M services and utility scale PV project will generate increasing number of assignments.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Ensure material and service availability for PV delivery projects, including creating purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and managing logistics as needed.Supplier and partner selection, negotiation, and contracting processes to secure favorable terms and conditions. 
  • Manage supplier and material code setup within the ERP 
  • Prepare and lead supplier meetings. 
  • Contribute to material forecasting from a sourcing perspective, as part of sales and operations planning. 
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with key partners and suppliers, to enable fluent collaboration and innovation. 
  • Supplier performance monitoring and development by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary. 
  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders, including sales, project managers, engineers, and finance teams, to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets. 
  • Continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement and logistic processes to improve quality and achieve cost savings. 
  • Compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the procurement process.

Qualifications 

  • Superior business acumen combined with effective negotiation skills for contracts and pricing. 
  • Proven track record of project sourcing activities, preferably within the growth company and company with employees and customers from different countries and organizational levels. 
  • Knowledge in Energy Sector is a merit 
  • Understanding of procurement best practices, main processes and sourcing tactics. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and support growth across the delivery organization. 
  • Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial attitude 
  • Good communication skills in English and Finnish, both written and verbal. Other languages such as German or Dutch are seen as a benefit. 
  • Ability to analyze needs and markets and make data-driven decisions 
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous procurement processes in line with project schedules. 
  • Minimum Bachelor in related field; advanced degree or procurement certification preferred. 
  • Proficiency in technical platforms such as ERP and data analytics tools.
