About the role
The
ESG Controller's purpose is to structure, execute, and validate the global ESG
data collection and consolidation for further reporting, analysis, and
communication. The ESG Controller should also ensure that the data collection
is in alignment with the Taxonomy, CSRD, and other legal requirements.
This
role requires a deep understanding of environmental, social, and governance
issues, as well as strong financial acumen and analytical skills. The ESG
Controller will work closely with various departments within the organization
to improve ESG performance, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and
standards, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
The
job is an important contributor to AAK’s journey towards Making Better Happen
from plant to brand, ensuring that we drive and share our ESG progress in the
best possible way with our stakeholders.
Responsibilities
As ESG Controller your main tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Develop ESG measurement and reporting policies.
- Performs risk assessments for the design of internal control and governance.

Coordinates, collects, and reports the global operations data on ESG-relevant
topics.

Proactively drives comprehensive ESG data gathering, ensuring data input is
timely.

Ensures validation and analysis of ESG data.

Supports the financial controller in securing compliance with Taxonomy.

Supports in content creation of ESG disclosures in line with the reporting
requirements and ensure correct data entry in line with the latest legal
requirements.

Gathers information about local Scope 1,2 & 3 initiatives for reporting.

Enables data sharing between sites and operational teams
- Ensure mid and long-term improvement in GHG.
About you
To
be successful in the role you need:
-
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, sustainability, or a related field;
advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MSc) preferred.
- Professional certification in ESG reporting (e.g., Taxonomy, CSRD, TCFD, UNGC
and GRI) is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, standards, and regulations.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.

Familiarity with reporting, consolidation and audit of operational (and
preferably financial) data - with the ability to connect different domains.

Understands internal and external controls and processes to help deliver on the
company’s ESG objectives.

Speak and communicate in English at a highly professional level.
