Lead Engineer, Datacenters

What will my responsibilities be?
As Lead Engineer – Data Centers, you will help build Eltel’s Data Centers and Emerging Services business. You will turn complex customer enquiries, drawings and technical specifications into deliverable solutions, robust cost estimates and competitive tenders.

Working closely with customers, suppliers, procurement and project teams, you will provide technical leadership from tender to delivery. You will also help build the capabilities and partnerships needed for Eltel’s long-term growth in data centres.

Example of tasks and responsibilities:

• Lead technical reviews of customer enquiries and tenders.
• Analyse drawings, bills of quantities and specifications to assess scope, costs, resources and risks.
• Prepare cost estimates and develop installation methods, production plans and standardised ways of working.
• Support supplier selection, project mobilisation and complex technical decisions.
• Act as the technical point of contact in customer presentations and tender negotiations.
• Build strong partnerships and strengthen Eltel’s long-term data centre expertise and offering.

The position is based in Sweden, preferably Bromma, although the right expertise matters most - we are flexible. Frequent travel within Sweden and the Nordic region is required, and you will collaborate with colleagues across Eltel, including Finland. The role can be shaped to suit your strengths and interests.

Kvalifikationer

Who are you?
You bring extensive experience in power engineering, data centres or major industrial installations, together with a strong understanding of large installation contracts. You quickly make sense of complex materia and turn it into clear recommendations, cost estimates and decisions.

Requirements:

• At least ten years’ experience in power engineering, data centres or major industrial installations.
• Experience of EPC, design-and-build or installation contracts.
• Proven expertise in cost estimation, tendering and risk assessment.
• The ability to analyse drawings, bills of quantities and technical specifications.
• Experience of working with international customers and contractors.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Experience of hyperscale data centre projects, commissioning or start-up is an advantage. Swedish language skills are also beneficial.

You are analytical, structured and self-motivated, with the confidence to take ownership of complex technical and commercial matters. Commercially aware and collaborative, you build trust with customers, suppliers and project teams—and enjoy helping to shape something new.

• This is a permanent, full-time position, beginning with a six-month probationary period.
