Senior Principal Engineer

Our client is a fast-growing international game studio within iGaming, building and operating a growing portfolio of online games for players across multiple markets. The studio combines creative game development with sophisticated proprietary technology, with its platform infrastructure playing a critical role in delivering reliable, high-volume gaming experiences at scale.

The company continues to expand its game portfolio and technology capabilities, creating an opportunity for a senior technical leader to shape the future of a core gaming platform used across the organization.

As a Senior Principal Engineer, you’ll take technical ownership of the core platform and work closely with the founder, engineering team, and other functions. You’ll shape architecture and technical direction while remaining close to the code to make a direct impact.

A significant part of the role is balancing long-term technical decisions with day-to-day delivery. You’ll improve scalability and reliability and make key architectural choices. As the studio and its product portfolio grow, you’ll evolve the platform to support that growth while keeping it secure and maintainable.

What we’re looking for

• Extensive professional experience with C#/.NET and strong backend engineering expertise.
• Experience building and operating high-volume, production-critical transactional systems, with strong SQL skills and experience with data modelling and performance optimization.
• Strong architectural judgment and hands-on experience with scalable, reliable, and secure systems, including distributed systems and technologies such as Redis.
• A hands-on approach, comfortable writing, reviewing, and improving production code.
• Experience leading engineers or taking technical ownership of a major platform, with clear and decisive communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Pragmatic and collaborative mindset, able to work cross-functionally and balance long-term technical direction with business needs and delivery.
