Let us describe the challenge we offer

In this role, you will be part of the Group Accounting team, playing a key role in ensuring high-quality, timely, and accurate consolidated financial reporting for the Polestar Group. The position has a strong focus on group closings, consolidation, and external financial reporting, including IFRS reporting and SEC filings with Nasdaq in New York.

You will work closely with subsidiaries, internal stakeholders, and external auditors, contributing to a consistent and compliant financial reporting framework across the Group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a global, scale-up environment where processes continue to evolve and improve.

You will work hands-on with consolidation, analysis, and reporting and contribute to continuously improving our group accounting processes.

You will also collaborate closely with subsidiaries and finance teams across the organization to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency in financial reporting.

You will:

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual group closing processes, including preparation and validation of consolidation and adjustment entries

  • Collaborate with subsidiaries and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial submissions

  • Perform financial analysis and prepare supporting documentation for internal and external reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of external IFRS financial reports, including notes and disclosures for quarterly and annual filings

  • Maintain and monitor consolidation system data to ensure consistency and data quality across group entities

  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and documentation of group accounting policies and processes

  • Participate in group accounting projects, reporting improvements, and system enhancements

  • Coordinate with external auditors and support the audit process by providing documentation and explanations

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve group accounting procedures, controls, and reporting efficiency

Who you are

You are a structured and analytical finance professional with a solid understanding of group accounting and financial reporting. You enjoy working in a dynamic, international environment and thrive when collaborating with different stakeholders. You combine attention to detail with a pragmatic mindset and are comfortable handling deadlines in a listed-company context.

You are proactive, communicative, and continuously look for ways to improve processes and ways of working.

To be a great fit for this position we believe you have:

  • A university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience within group accounting, a global corporate finance function, or an audit firm

  • Solid knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and group consolidation principles

  • Experience working with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes

  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial analysis and reporting

  • Experience with consolidation systems; AARO experience is a strong advantage

  • Exposure to SOX compliance and reporting for U.S.-listed companies is considered a plus

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
