Ship Design Engineer

This is an opportunity to work on diverse and technically challenging maritime projects, contributing from early concept development through to construction.

As a Design Engineer, you will join a company with more than 50 years of experience and a strong portfolio of innovative vessel designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and follow up on development, newbuilding, and conversion projects

• Contribute actively from idea and concept development to basic design phases

• Develop general arrangements, vessel specifications, and technical documentation

• Participate in technical dialogue with shipowners, shipyards, and classification societies

• Follow up with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

• Support the development and standardization of project methods and best practices

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary technical teams

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in engineering roles

• Experience from shipyards, classification societies, or design/consultancy environments is an advantage

• Strong technical understanding of engineering processes and project development

• Ability to lead or contribute to technical teams and processes

• Commercial awareness, particularly in delivery of technical solutions

• Experience with marine analysis tools, stability calculations, and project management is an advantage

• Proficiency in CAD software
