Insurance & Services Manager

The opportunity

We are currently looking for an Insurance & Services Manager. Someone to join our Polestar Financial Services team and strengthen how we develop, maintain and improve our Retail Insurance products and related services. Someone with a passion for electric mobility, an interest in technology, and a desire to create the change we know is needed. And someone who does not mind the occasional bit of sustainable travel in the service of a cleaner form of electric performance.

As part of Polestar Financial Services, you will work closely with both central functions and dedicated markets to secure a consistent, competitive and well‑governed insurance offering. Your work will influence the customer experience directly, from product design to performance follow‑up.

This position is located at our office in Gothenburg, Sweden. We believe in a hybrid model when it comes to remote and onsite work, knowing that both in‑person collaboration and individual time to focus are needed. What matters most is that people get the time and support to do what needs to be done. And to enjoy doing it, of course.

The responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to drive and develop our Retail Insurance and services offering across dedicated markets. Working as a member of Polestar Financial Services, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our insurance products, processes and customer experience support both market performance and the wider Polestar strategy. See below for a more thorough breakdown of the tasks you will be responsible for:

• Act as the main point of contact for all Retail Insurance topics in dedicated markets

• Drive and manage governance structures, sales planning and performance for Retail Insurance

• Lead benchmarking, price analysis, offer proposals and campaign implementation

• Secure product readiness for new model and model year launches

• Manage customer care cases, legal and digital requests, and stakeholder communication

The ideal candidate

To succeed in this role, you need a structured mindset, strong analytical ability and a genuine drive for execution. You enjoy solving problems, making decisions based on data and turning complexity into clear actions. You are pragmatic, collaborative and comfortable navigating different cultures, stakeholders and ways of working.

You also communicate clearly, build strong relationships and know how to influence without authority. Change is a natural part of your day, and you handle it with resilience and a positive attitude.

In addition, you will need the following qualifications:

• Experience from management consulting, banking or automotive finance

• Background working with Retail Insurance, including motor, financial or warranty insurance

• Proven experience in sales, marketing and process optimisation

• Strong financial and budgeting acumen

• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
