We are now seeking a Senior Fire Detection and Protection Engineer for one of our clients.
About the assignment:
We are seeking an experienced Fire Detection and Protection Engineer for a technically advanced assignment within large‑scale energy infrastructure projects. The assignment is conducted in a highly regulated, safety‑critical environment where fire protection systems play a key role in ensuring personnel safety, asset protection, and operational continuity. Fire detection and protection systems are integrated into mission‑critical installations and must be carefully designed to meet both international standards and project‑specific operational needs.
You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle – from early design and tender phases to execution, testing, and commissioning – working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams in an international project environment.
Projects are delivered in an international setting with strong focus on quality, risk management, and cross‑disciplinary coordination. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to high‑impact solutions where safety, compliance, and technical excellence are essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
In this role, you will, among other things:
- Implement applicable standards and regulations into fire detection and fire protection system designs, while considering project‑specific technical and operational requirements
- Design and prepare requirement specifications and technical documentation based on customer requirements, international standards, and local regulations
- Coordinate all technical interfaces with other engineering disciplines from project start through testing and commissioning
- Proactively identify technical constraints, risks, and future challenges, and plan mitigation actions accordingly
- Train and coach new team members and support customer knowledge development when required
- Work closely with engineers and specialists across multiple disciplines and locations, sharing technical knowledge and best practices in an international environment
- Participate in regular project meetings to follow progress, identify deviations, and initiate necessary actions
- Propose fire detection and protection system designs during tender phases, including managing clarifications and deviations with both internal and external stakeholders
- Support tender budgeting activities related to fire detection and protection systems
- Assess risks in proposed designs during tender phases and ensure appropriate actions and mitigation measures are defined
REQUIREMENTS PROFILE
We are looking for someone who has:
- Solid experience within fire detection and fire protection system design, preferably in complex or large‑scale industrial or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of international fire safety standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines in project‑based environments
- Ability to contribute both technically and proactively in design, coordination, and risk management activities
Language requirements:
- English: fluent, written and spoken (mandatory)
