As a Java Developer at Qred, you will take end-to-end ownership of the backend systems that power our financial products. This role is a mission-critical bridge between complex third-party integrations and a seamless user experience, ensuring our technical execution directly drives business impact. You will work in a high-ownership environment where your contributions to architecture and scalability help define the future of our Financial Systems.
Build secure and scalable backend services using Java and Spring, ensuring a cohesive data flow across our ecosystem and PostgreSQL databases.
Collaborate with other engineers, Product Manager and Tech Lead to define and implement efficient API endpoints and logic that optimize the user journey.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools and MCP (Model Context Protocol) to accelerate feature discovery, technical implementation, and code quality.
Monitor system health by maintaining robust logging, tracing, and alerting frameworks within AWS to ensure high availability in production.
Contribute to a secure and compliant codebase by following established fintech best practices and peer-review workflows.
We are looking for a developer with a structured approach to problem-solving and a proactive mindset toward professional growth. You thrive in a non-bureaucratic setting where you can drive alignment across teams and take pride in building scalable, long-term technical frameworks. You are an early adopter of agentic workflows, using AI agents to augment your precision and speed without sacrificing architectural integrity.
Several years of professional experience in backend development, it's a plus if you’ve worked within Fintech or similar regulated environments.
Deep technical proficiency in Java, Spring, and JPA/Hibernate for robust data persistence.
Experience managing and optimizing relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for deploying and monitoring scalable services.
Proficient in using AI-augmented tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code to drive development efficiency.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in our headquarters in Stockholm. While we encourage a hybrid setup, we do expect you to be at least three days per week at the office. We review applications on a rolling basis and while the start date is flexible, the right candidate can join us immediately.
