Your role

Embark on a pivotal journey within Atlas Copco Group IT as a Product Owner for Group Functions applications. This role places you at the heart of driving digital transformation across business-critical processes, ensuring our technology solutions evolve to meet dynamic organizational needs. Working agilely in close collaboration with internal customers, your efforts will directly accelerate productivity for thousands of users worldwide.

In this leadership role, you will take ownership of the full lifecycle management of key web applications on .NET platform, aligning IT strategy with business goals while maintaining utmost data and system integrity. Your leadership extends to managing a passionate, virtual cross-regional team comprising internal talents and external providers committed to delivering high-quality solutions.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with Atlas Copco Group’s overarching objectives.
  • Engage and partner with business stakeholders to set priorities, ensuring technology initiatives deliver maximal business value.
  • Establish robust governance frameworks, service operating models, and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead financial oversight for the product portfolio, ensuring responsible budget management and cost efficiency.
  • Design and implement marketing and communication strategies that enhance product visibility and adoption.

Demand to Delivery

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery process from ideation, development, piloting through to successful product launches.
  • Collaboratively work with functional teams to accurately capture and prioritize business needs, translating them into actionable product enhancements.
  • Define technical requirements, allocate resources efficiently, and establish clear milestones including proof of concept and minimum viable product criteria.
  • Drive rigorous testing procedures, launch planning, and seamless transition of products into production environments.
  • Prepare comprehensive service readiness plans including pricing models, governance policies, and thorough documentation.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain ongoing support and evolution of Group Functions applications, ensuring high availability and alignment with business requirements.
  • Design structured support processes spanning multiple levels, ensuring swift resolution of user issues and maintaining a high service quality.
  • Manage supplier relationships and contract compliance, swiftly handling escalations to maintain service continuity.
  • Champion product adoption through training initiatives and by nurturing a community of key business users.
  • Continuously analyze product performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Lead change and release management activities, ensuring smooth rollout of new features with minimal disruption.
  • Ensure strict compliance with relevant regulations including access management and technical debt mitigation.
  • Collaborate with Business Control for financial analysis and control, driving cost-effective product management.
  • Promote a productized way of working that fosters scalability, repeatability, and efficiency across teams.

To succeed, you will need

  • Proven experience in IT application development within complex, multi-site organizations.
  • Solid understanding and application of ITIL best practices and IT Service Management principles.
  • Demonstrated project management and business analysis skills.
  • Experience overseeing full business application lifecycles and a broad grasp of financial business processes.
  • Technical familiarity with web development standards such as .NET, JSP, and J2EE is advantageous.
  • University degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • ITIL Foundation certification considered a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, creative thinking, and collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills capable of bridging technical and business audiences.
  • Organized and structured approach with resilience in fast-evolving digital landscapes.

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our office in Sickla/Nacka in Sweden.
