Financial Controller to Pharmetheus

Pharmetheus is now seeking a Financial Controller for a temporary position of approximately one year, based at the company’s office in central Uppsala.

In this role, you will hold a central position within the finance function and work closely with the CFO. You will be responsible for both operational and analytical finance activities, ensuring high quality in financial follow-up and reporting for the Swedish entity as well as the company’s international subsidiaries and branches. The role offers a broad and business-oriented scope within an innovative and international team driving advanced projects within life sciences.

Your role

As a Financial controller at Pharmetheus you will, among other things:

·      Be responsible for the monthly closing process and ensure the quality of accounting for the Swedish operations and international entities

·      Analyze financial performance and ensure high quality in financial follow-up and reporting

·      Drive operational budget and forecasting activities

·      Develop reporting and analytical support, including work in Power BI

·      Collaborate with external accounting partners in Sweden and internationally

·      Contribute broadly within the finance function in a dynamic and knowledge-intensive environment.

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for someone who is confident in month-end closing activities and has a strong interest in financial analysis and follow-up. You thrive in a role where you can combine operational responsibility with a broad and independent position within the finance function.

You may have built your experience through, for example:

·      Qualified finance work in an accounting or controlling role

·      Audit or advisory work

·      A combination of accounting, analysis, and business support

It is considered an advantage if you have:

·      Experience from a project-oriented business environment

·      Experience working in system-intensive environments, or a strong interest in systems and digital tools

Qualifications

·      Academic degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent

·      Minimum three years of experience from qualified finance work or audit

·      Experience with month-end closing and financial reporting

·      Good understanding of the K3 accounting framework

·      Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken

Technical skills:

·      Experience with Fortnox

·      Experience with Power BI

Your personality

·      You are structured, detail-oriented, and self-driven

·      You have the ability to work both hands-on and analytically, while maintaining a holistic perspective

·      You are comfortable working in a role with many stakeholders and interfaces.
