About the Role

We need to strengthen one of our accounting solution teams that is called Accounting EKOT with an additional enthusiastic Full stack Developer with strong mainframe competence coding and troubleshooting skills so that we can excel in our exciting journey to implement and modernize our accounting solution that fulfills SEB’s high demands on accuracy, security and quality. The Accounting EKOT team is an agile team located in Stockholm and is working on the accounting solution modernization roadmap and maintaining the bank’s daily accounting operations.

Ensuring the smooth running of SEB´s financial systems is a very important responsibility performed by the team. Our system setup is mainly Mainframe applications where we are part of the consolidating and reporting flow to our end consumers in Finance. We develop and maintain both the back-end (mainframe online and batch) and front-end of the applications (.net and React).

Now we are exploring new technologies and possibilities to implement a future solution. We work together with our Product Owner, Architects, and Stakeholders to define our next steps. As a team member, you will work with design, implementation, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintaining smooth operations of our service including providing support to our users. Currently we are focusing on modernization of both the back-end mainframe applications and our front-end solution.

Who are you?

· You are a mainframe developer with several years of experience.

· You have preferrable been working with both back-end and front-end development.

· You have a genuine interest in technology and its ability to support our business.

· You share our interests in the areas of DevOps guidelines, and you have good communication skills in English.

· You can work together with others in the team or individually and you can communicate with stakeholders or vendors in a professional way.

· You are comfortable working in mainframe environment, and you are open to working with our front-end solution as well.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

· Experience of both back-end and front-end development

· Strong knowledge in mainframe development technologies and languages such as COBOL, JCL, IMS, OPC, Easytrieve, SQL, REXX

· Knowledge in programming languages such as Javascript, C#, Python or similar

· Preferable knowledge in front-end frameworks such as React or similar

· Databases such as DB2

· Experience in design, implementation, testing and deployment (CI/CD)

· Cloud technologies, GitHub and GitHub CoPilot for coding

· Basic knowledge in account management is a plus

· Troubleshooting and resolving issues in existing applications and maintaining smooth operations, including on-call duties

· Collaborate with team members to discuss ideas and to design and implement new features

· Investigate new tools and ways of working to become a better team and organization
