Your new position as Head of Local IT at Mycronic
We are now looking for a Head of Local IT who will hold an end-to-end responsibility for the company’s global local IT services. This is a senior IT leadership role with clear ownership of strategy, governance, and delivery, shaping how Local IT is organized, standardized, and delivered across all physical sites worldwide.
You will be responsible for ensuring that Local IT services are developed, delivered, supported, and continuously improved in alignment with business needs, security requirements, and cost efficiency. This role works closely with IT leadership, Information Security, Facilities, and Business stakeholders globally.
As Head of Local IT, you own the vision, operating model, and results for Local IT globally. The role ensures:
A secure, stable, and consistent IT experience across all offices, labs, production, and warehouse sites
Clear governance between central IT and local execution
Scalable ways of working that support Mycronic’s continued global growth
Key Responsibilities
The role carries overall responsibility for defining strategy, governance, and performance for Local IT globally.
The Head of Local IT sets goals, strategy, and the global operating model for Local IT, while building and leading an international organization with clear accountability, decision rights, and a long-term focus on capability and leadership development. You own the Local IT service portfolio and its evolution, ensuring service excellence through standardized ITIL/ITSM-aligned processes and executive-level oversight of SLAs, KPIs, cost, and quality.
You are accountable for the physical delivery and support of the global digital workplace, endpoint platform, meeting room and AV solutions, and user-facing support, including executive/VIP services. In close collaboration with central IT, you also hold overall responsibility for local network and site IT, ensuring that physical IT environments meet requirements for security, availability, and regulatory compliance.
The role includes full financial ownership, including OPEX/CAPEX planning, ensure vendor performance against KPI. Contract negotiation, and performance management aligned with business objectives. You are also responsible for risk management, security, and compliance, ensuring adherence to internal and external regulations and actively contributing to audits, risk assessments, and security initiatives.
As Head of Local IT, you act as the primary IT interface toward site leadership and business management, report to IT leadership, and contribute to the overall IT strategy at enterprise level.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent (Master’s degree is a plus)
8–12+ years of experience in IT service delivery within complex organizations
Proven experience leading globally distributed teams
Strong track record of budget ownership and vendor management
Deep understanding of the intersection between IT, security, and business
Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate across cultures and time zones
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Additional Information
International travel: approximately 15–30%
