We are looking for an IT Project Manager to join the Group Function IT team at Skanska Group HQ. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and delivering IT projects across a global organization, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives and IT strategy.
You will work in close collaboration with both business and technical stakeholders, driving structured project execution while navigating a complex, international environment. Change management is a central part of the role, and you will play a key role in ensuring successful adoption and long-term value realization of IT initiatives.
· Project Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
· Planning & Governance: Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria; develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
· Stakeholder Management: Act as a key interface between business, IT, and external vendors, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
· Risk & Quality Management: Identify and mitigate risks, manage issues proactively, and ensure quality assurance before and after implementation.
· Change Management: Support change, adoption, and communication activities to ensure business value realization.
· Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and improvement of project delivery methods, tools, and best practices within Group IT.
· Global Collaboration: Work in a global context with stakeholders from different countries and cultures.
You are a structured and delivery-focused IT Project Manager who thrives in complex environments with multiple stakeholders. You demonstrate strong leadership, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams toward shared goals.
You are a clear and effective communicator, comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment, transparency, and progress throughout the project lifecycle.
With a strategic mindset, you consistently align project outcomes with broader business objectives, balancing long-term value with day-to-day execution. You enjoy working at Group HQ level, where you can influence direction, create clarity, and drive projects that support the organization’s overall strategy.
· Education: BSc or MSc in a relevant field
· Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably in complex, decentralized, or multi-stakeholder environments
· Project Management: Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
· Tools: Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent
· IT Understanding: Familiarity with IT systems, infrastructure, and software development lifecycles
· Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken); Swedish is meritorious
· Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, SAFe, ADKAR)
· Experience in digital transformation, cloud migration, or enterprise system implementations
· Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
