About this opportunity  

Do you want to play a key role in driving our cultural and sustainability journey while helping establish Getinge as a top workplace? We’re now looking for a Sustainability Controller with strong analytical, controlling, reporting, and accounting skills to enhance our sustainability and ESG data reporting.

Reporting directly to the Head of Group Accounting & Reporting, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the business to improve processes and frameworks that support Getinge’s sustainability ambitions. In this role, you’ll ensure compliance with international ESG reporting standards, deliver on our sustainability commitments, and strengthen our brand, values, and mission.

What you will do

As Sustainability Controller, you will play a key role in advancing Getinge’s ESG reporting and sustainability performance. You’ll work across functions and geographies to ensure high-quality, compliant, and transparent reporting that supports our strategic goals and regulatory commitments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and leading the ESG reporting roadmap – aligning and consolidating non-financial sustainability data across the group, in close collaboration with corporate and local controllers and sustainability managers from 20+ production sites.

• Driving ESG assurance and audit processes – leading internal and external audit initiatives, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and transparency in Getinge’s sustainability reporting.

• Owning and developing sustainability reporting – project leading the annual Sustainability Report, overseeing figures, data, and KPIs, and preparing quarterly reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Strengthening ESG compliance and systems – ensuring alignment with evolving regulations such as CSRD, enhancing system support for ESG data, and contributing to the identification and mitigation of ESG-related risks.

The position is based at Getinge’s headquarters in Gothenburg and offers a hybrid work setup, with at least two days per week spent in the office.



To be successful in this position, we believe that you have the following qualifications:

  • You have an Academic Finance Degree with 3+ years’ experience in sustainability/financial controlling or audit.   
  • You combine collaborative teamwork with experienced management skills in financial and non-financial reporting  
  • You have a profound interest in and understanding of ESG non-financial data & KPIs of sustainability with and you have strong data analytics skills  
  • Fluency in Swedish and English is an essential qualification.
