DevOps Software Engineer, Research and Development

We are driving the evolution toward smart, sustainable, and connected factories. As part of this journey, we are looking for a DevOps Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure Office Team within the Station Critical Software Department, R&D.

Your role

You will be part of a dedicated DevOps team responsible for configuration management, infrastructure maintenance, and continuous integration/delivery pipelines. We embrace Open Source and Linux, and we maintain our entire DevOps stack on-premises in our own data center—giving us full control and independence from external cloud providers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and build systems for complex software products.
• Managing and improving our Kubernetes-based infrastructure and GitOps workflows.
• Automating deployment and configuration using tools like Helm, Puppet, and Argo CD.
• Implementing monitoring and telemetry solutions with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and the ELK stack.
• Supporting developers and testers by ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure.
• Driving automation across the DevOps ecosystem with Python and Groovy for build services, pipeline orchestration, and infrastructure tasks.

To succeed, you will need

• A university degree in a technical field, such as a Bachelor or Master of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Solid experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Strong skills in Python for automation and build system development.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and GitOps workflows.
• A collaborative mindset and ability to support multiple development teams.
• Fluency in English; Swedish is a plus.

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site in Stockholm, Sweden (SE).
