Role Summary

 

As a Development Engineer in our team, you will contribute to both new development and the maintenance of basic, extended, and customer-specific military equipment.

Job Responsibilities

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Designing circuit diagrams and cable harness drawings (2D/3D).
  • Analyzing and responding to customer requirements and technical requests.
  • Writing demand specifications and functional descriptions for electrical systems.
  • Driving project work from pre-study through to serial production, including planning, design, quality assurance, and deviation handling.
  • You will also play an active role in continuously improving our team’s working methods and processes.

 

As Scania R&D transitions toward a team-based, value-flow approach, you will be part of daily planning and execution, striving to reduce lead times while maintaining high standards of quality and output.

 

Who You Are

 

We are looking for a proactive and driven individual who takes initiative, makes confident decisions when needed, and thrives in managing multiple tasks simultaneously. You are accustomed to working in high-expectation environments and consistently deliver with precision and quality. To succeed in this role, you should be both analytical and structured in your approach.

 

Given our broad cross-functional collaboration, strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. You express yourself clearly and confidently in English.
 

We believe you bring:

 

  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Product Development, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience with EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility)
  • 3–5 years of experience in electrical design, including electrical schematics, components, cable harnesses, and CAD tools

 

It’s a plus if you have:

 

  • Previous experience in the automotive industry
  • Familiarity with systems such as Saber, Capital Harness, and Catia
  • Experience from troubleshooting on vehicles
