Integration Specialist - Payroll system

For our customer are we looking for an experienced Payroll Integration Consultant to urgently strengthen the HR integration team, which is responsible for ensuring robust and secure integrations to all Nordic payroll systems. This role is critical to secure payroll stability and compliance, safeguarding business continuity and employee trust.

Ensuring correct and timely salary payments is business-critical. With upcoming team changes and temporary leaves, we see a unique opportunity to modernize and strengthen our payroll integration landscape. Join us to help ensure our integrations are durable, reliable, and future proof

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and secure the integration between Workday and Nordic payroll systems (Unit4 and others).
  • Ensure payroll data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with local regulations (including GDPR).
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve root causes for complex integration issues
  • Collaborate closely with HR, IT, and external vendors to optimize payroll workflows.
  • Support business continuity by documenting processes and ensuring knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Mentor colleagues and champion agile, modern development practices

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience in payroll integration and HRIS system connectivity (Workday experience a plus).
  • Strong technical knowledge of integration technologies (APIs, middleware, cloud-based platforms).
  • Deep understanding of payroll processes, compliance requirements, and data privacy regulations.
  • Skilled in transformation, mapping, and validation of payroll data.
  • Stakeholder management. (Experience in project management is a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across HR, IT, and external partners.

  • Azure Integration & Azure Cloud
  • Azure DevOps (pipelines, workflows, automation)
  • Experience in modern development tools and agile ways of working
  • Coaching and mentoring experience
