About the role

We are looking for an Engineer who will be part of a team working with primary storage environment but also overlap with tasks within infrastructure and related services on the Mainframe platform. The team is part of SEB Technology and located in Solna in the Stockholm area. The Mainframe is a vital platform within SEB, where we focus heavily on modernization and run many ongoing initiatives related to the Mainframe platform. At SEB we strive towards a modern Mainframe environment well aligned with our digital roadmap.

Primary, as a Storage Engineer, you will work with managing the storage for best performance and optimization. You will be responsible, together with the team, for daily maintenance, support and system development of the Storage environment. Handling storage is a critical undertaking as excellent performance from storage is of outmost importance in any delivery performed in mainframe. New requirements for data storage are creating a demand for innovative and efficient solutions. The team also has scheduled 24/7 on-call duty, which will be part of this role when applicable. It is an advantage if you have the knowledge to work cross-border with tasks related to Infrastructure, both with hardware and software.

Who are you?

You are a skilled technician/engineer with some years of experience of working within Mainframe environment. You are analytical and structured in your work and understand the importance of following processes when operating in critical environments. Teamwork is essential, as the team has significant responsibility for its own deliveries. In addition, the ability to independently run your own activities and take responsibility for them is necessary. It is important that you enjoy working with colleagues, developing as an engineer, and maintaining a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

We are looking for you who have the following qualifications:

· At least three years’ experience regarding Mainframe platform as technician

· Experience within storage subsystems (DFSMS / HSM / RMM)

· Working with z/OS and associated hardware is meritorious

· Fluent in both Swedish and English language
