We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our mission-driven team and help shape the next generation of our web platform.
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, your focus will be on designing and building web experiences with Next.js and React, creating seamless and engaging features that help us reach new users and deliver value quickly. While your main focus will be on the frontend, you’ll also work with Ruby on Rails to develop APIs and backend integrations that support our mobile and web experiences.

Lead development of features for Fishbrain’s website in Next.js and React.
Collaborate with designers and product managers to bring growth ideas to life quickly.
Contribute to development of backend systems and APIs in Ruby on Rails to support mobile and other web engineers.
Maintain and keep our existing services running smoothly.
Ship fast, learn from experiments, and iterate to scale what works.
Balance rapid development with maintainable, high-quality code.
5+ years of professional work experience with frontend development in modern web development using NextJS, React or similar frameworks.
2+ years of professional work experience with backend development technologies such as Ruby on Rails, GoLang, Python, or NodeJS.
Professional experience developing projects with TypeScript and Tailwind.
Experience in fundamentals of SEO, measuring web vitals, and improving performance.
Experience of using different rendering strategies such as Static Site Generation, and Incremental Static Regeneration.
Proven ability in driving projects and features to completion independently.
Product mindset: you care about the “why” behind features and love experimenting to drive growth.
Nice to haves:
Experience with Ruby on Rails.
Experience working at a product company before.
Experience with AWS.
