About the role:

As a Machine Learning Architect in our platform team, your mission is to enable and empower other teams to build and deploy AI/ML solutions responsibly and at scale. You will design and evolve the ML platform capabilities, ensuring they are robust, compliant, and aligned with regulatory frameworks such as the AI Act (EU AI Regulation). This role is about enabling scale, compliance, and innovation—not building models, but building the foundation that makes responsible AI possible.

You’ll work closely with other architects, ML engineering, data science, and compliance teams to:

Develop and maintain ML platform components (e.g., infrastructure for data ingestion and preparation, model training and experimentation, model deployment and serving as well as monitoring solutions) that support scalable and secure ML workflows.
Define and implement compliance and governance frameworks for ML model lifecycle management.
Provide Machine Learning (ML) golden paths, blueprints and modules to enable teams to deploy ML workloads (primary GCP but we act in multi-cloud).
Support GPU-accelerated training, distributed computing, and observability tooling to ensure performance and transparency.
Promote Responsible AI practices by embedding explainability, interpretability, and ethical design into platform capabilities.
Enable CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and API-first architectures for ML services across the organization.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

Experience designing and enabling scalable ML platforms and infrastructure on cloud environments such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
A strong understanding of ML model governance, with hands-on experience implementing Responsible AI practices in line with data privacy, security, and the AI Act (EU AI Regulation).
Solid knowledge of MLOps principles, with a deep understanding of the full machine learning lifecycle and the resources and tooling needed at each stage. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize key MLOps components such as feature stores, model registries, and data pipelines.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
Experience supporting distributed training on GPU-accelerated workloads and enabling observability and monitoring for ML systems.
