Service Manager - Compliance & Sustainability

About the job

Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a leading supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to providing complete and sustainable transport solutions. Together with TRATON and our sister brands MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International, we are working to shape the future of mobility with innovative and environmentally conscious solutions.

Our values – customer first, respect, team spirit, responsibility, and elimination of waste – are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we are at the forefront of creating a sustainable future.

This Is Us

At Scania, we’re driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system while shaping the future of mobility together with our sister brands in the TRATON Group. Technology is at the heart of this journey — strengthening our digital backbone, modernizing how we work, and giving our business the tools to lead.

Our Compliance & Sustainability domain is vital for ensuring we build trust, meet regulatory demands, and deliver value for both our customers and society. Now, we’re looking for a Service Manager who wants to take a leading role in making that happen.

Role Summary

As a Service Manager for Compliance & Sustainability, you’ll take ownership of our digital services in this domain. You’ll play a key role in delivering stable, reliable, and continuously improving IT services that align with Scania’s sustainability ambitions and the TRATON Group’s shared vision.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across the TRATON Group, lead an engaged team of IT professionals, and build strong partnerships with business stakeholders — all while making a real difference through technology.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive Group Collaboration: Lead alignment on group-wide initiatives and shared digital capabilities within the TRATON Group.
  • Lead Service Delivery: Guide and support your IT team to deliver high-quality, reliable IT services that exceed expectations.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for IT service delivery that align with broader business goals.
  • Optimize Processes: Drive continuous improvements in service management processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to fully understand their needs and translate them into solutions.
  • Manage Incidents & Problems: Oversee timely resolution of incidents and root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Coordinate with vendors and partners to secure the best service outcomes and manage contracts effectively.
  • Develop the Team: Foster a culture of growth and learning within the IT service team, supporting skills development and career progression.

Who You Are

You’re a proactive professional who thrives at the intersection of people, processes, and technology. You enjoy taking ownership, driving improvements, and collaborating with others to turn plans into action.

Your motivation comes from delivering high-quality services and building trust through clear communication and strong relationships. Switching between big-picture strategy and detailed execution feels natural to you.

We believe you bring:

  • Experience in a similar service management or IT delivery role.
  • A relevant degree in IT (or equivalent experience).
  • General IT knowledge covering areas like cloud solutions, IT security, infrastructure, and integrations.
  • Experience with IT support and maintenance.
  • Skills in coordinating projects and activities, ideally in agile environments.
  • Strong communication skills in English — written and spoken.

It’s a plus if you also have:

  • Experience with finance-related systems.
  • Knowledge of customs or export control processes.
  • A background in digitalization or information management.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds – your unique experience and perspectives is valuable to us.
