The Opportunity

We are now seeking a Warranty & Recovery Operations Lead to strengthen our Warranty & Quality Operations team at our global head office in Gothenburg. This is both a strategic and operational role. You will be responsible for driving warranty cost control and supplier recovery activities, ensuring operational excellence and financial efficiency across our warranty operations. The Warranty & Quality Operations team at Polestar plays a central role in driving quality, financial efficiency, and operational excellence. Based at our Gothenburg headquarters, the team focuses on warranty cost control, supplier recovery, and contractual alignment with strategic partners. Key responsibilities include defining warranty policy, monitoring cost and spend, ensuring supplier accountability, and delivering accurate, resource-efficient data solutions. By enabling quality analytics and BI reporting, the team supports data-driven decisions across the organization

This position is located at our headquarters in Gothenburg and is an on-site role.


The Responsibilities

Warranty Control & Spend Oversight

  • Analyse, track, and report warranty-related financials.
  • Develop and enhance warranty operations for new markets, models, and products.
  • Investigate high-cost repairs and identify non-compliant or inefficient claims.
  • Uncover opportunities to reduce warranty costs and improve policy frameworks.
  • Enable data-driven insights using Power BI, Excel, and other tools.

Warranty Recovery & Cost Optimization

  • Lead warranty recovery initiatives by monitoring supplier performance and repair trends.
  • Partner with Procurement and other key stakeholders to recover costs through effective negotiations.
  • Set and monitor recovery targets, produce detailed reports, and ensure financial alignment across departments.


The Ideal Candidate

You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and can navigate complex challenges. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and negotiation abilities, coupled with a strategic, business-focused mindset. Additionally, you have a proven ability to collaborate effectively across both business and technical teams while working in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.

In addition, you'll need the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Automotive, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in Warranty Management, Quality, and Procurement. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and BI tools (Excel, Power BI, etc).
  • Experience with the QW90 system is a plus.
  • Fluency in English; Swedish is a plus.
