We are expanding our team at the Global Innovation Center in Vårgårda and are looking for an engineer with a focus on embedded devices.

About the role
As an Embedded Developer, you will contribute to the software platform for Autoliv’s next-generation safety products, working closely with system, ECU, and platform teams.
You’ll be part of a small, agile group focused on rapidly industrializing new ideas, playing a key role in Autoliv’s global digital strategy. The team operates in an international environment and collaborates with colleagues worldwide.

Development spans AUTOSAR environments and involves C, C++, Simulink, and Python for both functionality and automation. Work is carried out in close cooperation with system experts, verified through vehicle and virtual testing, and managed using Git and Azure DevOps. The role covers the entire V-cycle, making experience across all development phases from requirements and design to integration and testing especially valuable.

Automotive background is highly appreciated.

We’re also looking for individuals with a broad skill set and a hands-on mindset, who are willing to support tasks beyond pure software development when needed.

Relevant Experience

  • Minimum five years of experience in software development within advanced control systems and automotive technologies
  • Profficiency in C, C++, and Python,
  • Hands-on experience in automotive systems
  • Experience in software design, including safety critical systems (as ISO 26262)
  • Knowledge of software architecture, unit testing, system testing, and integration testing
  • Hands-on experience with requirement management tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience in AutoSar
  • Familiarity with the Automotive CAN protocol
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written

Meritorious

  • Matlab/Simulink
  • Linux
  • Valid B driver’s license
  • Swedish
