We are seeking a dynamic and value orientated Programme Manager to join Valtech and oversee and drive forward large digital transformation programmes here in Copenhagen, Denmark.
As a Programme Manager, your wealth of experience and knowledge will mean that you are not only skilled in not only Agile but other project management frameworks as well as bringing teams together and encouraging collaboration. It is important that the successful candidate has a values driven mindset and can demonstrate value through metrics and data. This role would ideally suit some who has previous experience within a consultancy environment but this experience is not essential.
There will be regularly onsite working required with our client based in Copenhagen so candidates should be willing and able to work hybrid from both our Valtech offices and client offices as and when needed.
Programme Orchestration and Leadership:
Drive the overall orchestration of client transformation programmes, ensuring alignment between business objectives and delivery.
Facilitate collaboration between internal teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of programme initiatives.
Enable cross-functional engagement to support our client’s global strategy, focusing on breaking down silos and ensuring an end-to-end transformation mindset.
Governance and Process Management:Establish and maintain a governance structure to support efficient decision-making, risk management, and effective communication.
Develop and maintain a simplified and actionable RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) matrix to define clear roles and responsibilities and ensure accountability within the team.
Simplify the internal operational environment to empower team members, reduce administrative burdens, and clarify responsibilities.
Programme Planning and Execution:
Lead the development of detailed action plans for each initiative in the 3-month resolution plan.
Monitor progress, ensure timely completion of activities, and provide support as needed to meet Programme deadlines.
Prioritise and align Programme activities with the clients strategic value agenda to drive long-term growth.
Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:
Develop and implement a communication plan to provide regular updates on Programme progress, priorities, and changes to stakeholders and team members.
Prepare and present status reports, including monitoring indicators, progress updates, and risks or issues, to senior leadership.
Ensure transparency and manage expectations by fostering a performance culture that supports a client growth journey.
Knowledge Sharing and Team Empowerment:
Oversee the implementation of a knowledge-sharing platform to centralise Programme-related information and ensure transparency.
Encourage efficient knowledge transfer by supporting a mentorship Programme and facilitating shadowing opportunities for team members to learn from experienced colleagues.
Ensure continuous upskilling of team members, particularly in composable practices and transformation, to bridge any knowledge gaps.
Programme Ceremonies and Meetings:
Establish regular Programme ceremonies, such as weekly core team meetings, to drive alignment, share progress, and manage priorities effectively.
Facilitate key Programme ceremonies and ensure meeting outcomes are documented, including action items and decisions.
Work towards establishing a strategic engagement model with the client, focusing on proactive account scaling and enterprise-level alignment.
Risk and Issue Management:Identify potential risks and issues that could impact Programme delivery and develop mitigation plans to ensure smooth execution.
Maintain an up-to-date risk register and communicate significant risks to senior leadership in a timely manner.
Address internal blockers, including process inefficiencies and capacity management, to ensure the team's focus remains on customer value.
Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple initiatives, prioritise tasks, and deliver results on time.
Leadership and Facilitation: Demonstrated capability to lead Programme ceremonies and foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey Programme objectives and updates to stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic Mindset: Ability to understand the broader transformation goals and ensure alignment of all programme activities to these objectives
Proven experience in programme management, ideally with transformation or digital programmes.
Strong understanding of composable architecture concepts and the ability to bridge business and technical objectives.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in leading large cross-functional teams and implementing governance structures.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex organisational dynamics.
Familiarity with de-centralised organisational structures and experience in managing stakeholders across various regions and levels.
