About us


EESDS is the system owning organisation for the Digital Driver Workplace, which is the next generation of combined instrument clusters and infotainment systems. The system has a central role in the vehicle and is tasked with managing driver interaction, displaying all relevant information from the vehicle, as well as providing SW services such as media and navigation. We are now looking at strengtening the team with an on-site release manager

About the role


You will own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of the releases. As a release manager you’ll contribute to a well-planned and successful delivery – a solution that works as intended and is delivered on schedule. Sounds pretty simple, right? About you

You should have a technical understanding of software development and IT implementation. This includes understanding how systems work, code structures, and tools used to build and deploy software. Ability to communicate clearly with various stakeholders, including developers, testers, product owners, and operations staff. This includes creating documentation, reporting progress, and managing expectations.

Experience with agile working methods is valuable. As a release manager you should understand how agile teams work, sprint planning, backlog management, and rapid delivery of features. Working as part of a team is crucial. You will collaborate with multiple teams and individuals, so having a positive and collaborative mindset is essential.

Your tasks


To give you a clear picture of the tasks associated with this role, we have compiled them below:

  • Plan the release windows and cycles
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews and Business Go/No-Go reviews
  • Perform release reporting and documentation
  • Communicate release details and schedules to the business as required
  • Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
  • Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges


To perform tasks with high quality, we believe you need the following:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is often required; however, significant work experience in related fields may also be considered as an alternative.
  • 3-5 years of work experience of release management
  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English are a must
