Your Trainee position and your team

Do you want to work in a field that combines analysis and administration in a constantly changing environment? Join SEB’s Customer Risk Analysis (CRA) area, where we are making major investments to develop routines, processes, and expertise.

It is also a central part of how we, as a bank, conduct business in a responsible and sustainable way. We are a business-supporting unit working to ensure that the bank not only complies with regulations but, above all, does business with the right counterparties.

You will work in an environment with a strong team spirit, characterized by energy, a positive atmosphere, and a high level of responsibility.

As a KYC (Know Your Customer) Analyst, you will:

• Work with both the analysis of customer information and administrative tasks within Customer Risk Analysis (CRA)

• Collaborate closely with other teams within Customer Portfolio Management (CPM) and play an important role in ensuring that we have the right information to make well-founded decisions

• Contact customers via secure messaging, phone, and letters to collect information and guide them in matters related to KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering)

• Analyze the collected information, identify risks, and contribute to improving our processes

• Register and manage incoming information in SEB Case and work proactively to ensure data quality

Simultaneously by working in the role you are being recruited to, you will participate in SEB's International Trainee Programme for nine months. It will give you the opportunity to develop an extensive network within the bank, gain a deep understanding of the financial industry and be professionally and personally challenged.

As part of the programme, you can expect to: contribute to meaningful projects, work on communication and leadership skills, do rotations in other teams across the bank, participate in a business challenge and do an international internship at another SEB site in the world.

To thrive in this role and in the International Trainee programme, we believe you have:

• Graduated within the past two years, or will graduate before the programme starts on 1st September 2026 – from a relevant academic degree

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to take ownership

• Great communication skills and to be able to work both in English and Swedish

We also believe you:

• Are a team player, with a customer-focused and positive attitude

• Are independent and take initiative (contributing with ideas and suggested improvements)

• Can quickly adapt to new circumstances and work in a fast-paced environment

Previous experience (part-time work, life abroad etc.) and involvement during your studies are advantageous but what matters most is your potential and passion.

Our recruitment process

We want to get to know you, and for you to get to know us.

The recruitment process includes:

- Psychometric tests

- Interviews – digitally and/or on-site

- A case exercise and presentation

- SEB Day – an event to learn more about SEB and the programme, with insights from former trainees

Please be aware that our final candidates undergo background checks, a process that includes for example identity control, verification of qualifications, credit checks, company engagements and history of crime. In some cases, we also apply random drug checks.

SEB Sweden has a redeployment responsibility, which is why this position might be covered by internal redeployment.
