As Head of Corporate Security, you will be a key person in ensuring that SAS remains a safe and secure workplace and trusted partner — today and in a rapidly changing global security landscape.

Role Summary

As Head of Corporate Security, you are SAS’s most senior security leader. You are responsible for protecting our people, assets, infrastructure, and information from internal and external threats, working closely with the Executive Leadership Team. The role is both strategic and operational: you develop, implement, and continuously improve the corporate security program in line with our goals, legal requirements, and industry best practices.

About the Team

You lead Corporate Security as a core function within SAS, working in close partnership with our Aviation Security team, ERO, Operations, Legal, People, and IT. 
You manage a team of three direct reports covering Crime & Fraud, Unruly & Liability, incident reports — with a broad international cooperation Network.
Your role will be to support this team if needed and collaborate with internal and external authorities, police, customs, banks, airline alliances, and global networks. 

Key Responsibilities

-    Act as trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team and primary point 
-    of contact for all corporate security matters.
-    Lead Security Risk Management with a strong focus on Personnel Security and Insider Threat Management.
-    Cooperate with our Cyber Security Team.
-    Lead SAS’s physical security strategy across all sites, including access control, surveillance, perimeter protection, and visitor management, ensuring the safety of employees, assets, and facilities while supporting business continuity and operational resilience
-    Build and maintain intelligence capabilities through structured horizons scanning and scenario planning and set routines and guidelines for preparedness for possible incident scenarios within corporate security.
-    Plan and lead the analysis, collaborate internally and externally and implement the parts related to total defense and contingency and preparedness planning.
-    Plan and lead security exercises, drills, and scenario training within corporate security in close cooperation with Emergency Response Organisation (ERO).
-    Coordinate security operations in close cooperation with our Crime & Fraud, Unruly & Liability handling our incident management system within corporate security related incidents.
-    Oversee security readiness, incident response, crisis management within corporate security and secure business continuity activities.
-    Communicate clearly with stakeholders and senior management, also under pressure.

Typical Activities

-    Advise the Executive Leadership Team on emerging risks and mitigation actions.
-    Monitor and assess internal and external threats.
-    Coordinate with law enforcement across SAS’s network.
-    Conduct security exercises and ensure findings are integrated into training and readiness plans in cooperation with ERO.
-    Supervise vendor performance and contract in cooperation with our purchasing department
-    Oversee daily fraud monitoring and interventions.
-    Engage with industry partners and external working groups.
-    Respond to incidents and ensure lessons learned are integrated into 
-    strategy.
-    Cooperation with Aero Medical Advisor   - example: COVID restrictions
-    Evaluate security regarding new destinations and crew hotels, safety and security

Experience

Basic Qualifications
-    Minimum 7 years of experience in strategic corporate security setting and at least 10 years operational security experience (police, military, intelligence, or equivalent civil organization).
-    Strong background in Security Risk Management with a focus on Personell Security and Physical Security.
-    In-depth knowledge of ISO 27001 or equivalent standards.
-    Strong leadership and vendor management skills within areas related to corporate security suppliers
-    Knowledge of and experienced within total defense.
-    Ability to collaborate professionally with the security service and other national authorities.
-    Knowledge of Nato and confident in leading cooperation within this area.
-    Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost discretion and integrity.
-    Ability to work structurally and adapt to changing priorities.
-    Excellent communication skills in English and at least one Scandinavian language.

Preferred Qualifications
-    Relevant higher education — preferably a Master’s (MA/MSc) in Security, Risk Management, Political Science or similar.
-    Certifications such as CPP and CBCP.
-    Certification or documented training in recognized project management methodologies.
-    Experience with incident response and operational risk management.
-    Experience from a highly regulated aviation industry.
-    Experience with modern security systems and physical security technology.
-    Strong cooperation with police, authorities, and external security partners.
-    Experience managing unruly passenger cases and fraud prevention.
-    Practical experience with international inspections and audits.
