Firmware Software Developer

Now we are looking for a Firmware Software Engineer who wants to create a more trusted internet!

We're looking for someone with a passion for security to join us in our work to develop new features for our products. Your role will be to implement established cryptographic protocols, as well as to take part in creating the protocols of tomorrow. As part of our team you'll be working on our core products and the tools and libraries which make them useful.

We believe you have experience and knowledge of the concepts behind cryptography, and that if you're not already an expert in the area, you're willing to grow into one.You like both development and as the rest of our team you strive to automate as much of your work as possible.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Develop and design new features for the firmware of Yubico's products, such as the YubiKey and the YubiHSM
• Write libraries and utilities to expose new features to higher level applications
• Develop integrations with existing systems to enable them to take advantage of our products
• Reports to Engineering Lead

Skills & Experience:

• Experience with cryptography and security (such as smart cards, PKCS#11, common encryption schemes, and cryptographic libraries)
• Experience with writing software for microprocessors with constrained resources
• High proficiency in C as well as a basic familiarity with Autotools
• Familiarity with Python or other higher­-level language (we also use Go)
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team, capable of taking own initiatives but also listening to others
• Experience with integrating/building open source software and the open source community
