Trimble AB in Danderyd is part of the Geospatial division within the Trimble Group (www.trimble.com) and today we are approximately 270 employees. We develop, maintain and produce advanced high-tech products that are used, for example,

within positioning and construction engineering. Our R&D department houses a broad range of disciplines; SW, electronics, mechanics and optics. Last autumn we launched a new innovative product that has been received extremely well by the global market.

About the job

We are currently looking for people with competence within SW, electronics, mechanics, optics, project management and manufacturing engineering. Today our R&D department consist of 80 employees, all highly qualified within their fields, and we are now looking for several new colleagues. We offer competitive benefits and a great working environment.

You will work in cross functional teams with developers from mechanics, hardware and manufacturing engineering using agile processes. To succeed in this role, you need to collaborate closely with your colleagues and have a genuine technical interest of our instrument performance from an optical point of view.

Main responsibilities

  • Experimental work in the lab to try out theoretical designs on prototypes
  • Close collaboration with the electronic and mechanical teams in the development process
  • Selection of opto, electronic and mechanical components
  • Design and simulation of optical systems using ZEMAX

Requirements

  • Master of Science within engineering physics, electronics or mechatronics with 1-3 years of work experience alternative Ph.D.
  • Fluent Swedish and English both spoken and written
  • We think you are an analytical person challenged by working in small teams solving complex engineering problems together with others.
