Do you want to steer the development of future powertrains for our OEM customers?
We are now looking for a Lead Engineer to join our team. Today the group consists of 12 engineers, of whom 2 are stationed in the US. Most are Masters of Engineering specializing in Automotive Software or related fields. Still, the variety of roles means that some work more behind the wheel, others more by the computer and some spend most time in the conference room.
The mission of our team is to modify the software of Scania powertrains to suit OEM-customer vehicles. In this mission, we take responsibility for the entire process chain. This means understanding the customer needs and plan the project. This means implement adaptations of existing functions as well as new customer-unique ones. This means follow-up of field quality issues and ensure that the delivered software works well in series production. All this happens in close collaboration with engineers on the customer side.
Mirroring the range of Scania powertrain projects in general, we work with both traditional and electrified powertrains.
You will be the main contact for a specific OEM-customer in all matters regarding TMS-software. This is your responsibility in the entire span from initial scope discussions to field quality issues for the series product. You plan, co-ordinate and secure development of the product. Apart from extensive customer contacts, this will also connect you with a wide range of disciplines within Scania such as production, project office and lead engineers for hardware. You will have a team of engineers to assist you but at the end of the day it is your responsibility to keep the customer satisfied.
You are driven, structured, communicative and wants to see Scania powertrains raise the performance of our customers. Your educational base is a Master of Engineering. To this you have added an excellent record from several years of working experience in automotive software. Ideally, you have earlier experience of leading or coordinating positions, such as teamleader. In addition, experience of customer-facing roles is a merit.
You enjoy working in the wide perspective in contrast to focussing on a single point. This way you get a good overview of the entire picture rather than excelling in a specific function. You thrive when working together with others and are driven by an inspiring and creative environment with many highly competent colleagues.
You have a driver's license and speak English more or less fluently. A driver's license for truck/bus is a strong merit and so is any other heavy vehicle related experience.
