We are now looking for a Head of Health and Safety for the Lantmännen Group, who will drive and further develop our strategic and operational health and safety work. Does this sound interesting? This is what you will do

The role as Head of Health & Safety is a global position at Lantmännen and together with your team and colleagues in the different sectors, you will play a key role in driving and further developing our H&S strategy across our group. Our businesses are found in the entire value chain from agriculture, machinery, bioenergy, food and real estate, making Health and Safety a complex and highly prioritized area. We have recently developed a long-term H&S strategy aiming for H&S Excellence in 2030. This is an exciting opportunity for you to continue to drive and implement the strategy further, creating awareness and developing our safety culture. You will take ownership in taking our long-term H&S strategy to the next level, develop tools and processes globally, and support our sectors and businesses with their roadmaps and actions through workshops and assessments. You will also develop and implement policies and guidelines and lead our global H&S forums. An important part is also to drive development and the use of our IA system (Occupational Health and Safety Information System).

The role includes managerial responsibility for a small team, but you are also expected to guide and lead other specialists as well as supporting management teams, across our group. The team will also be responsible for monitoring and analyzing key figures and to develop action plans for further improvements and act as an advisor to businesses within Lantmännen and negotiate contracts with suppliers and other business partners.

The position is based in Stockholm and you will report to the Director of Group Industrial Relations, Total Reward and Health & Safety. Traveling to our different companies and sites within the group is expected.

Skills & Requirements

This is what you need to succeed

You have:

  • At least 7-10-years’ experience from working in health and safety on group level, preferably from a global organization.
  • An academic degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience of driving strategic and operative day-to-day work within health and safety from an industrial environment.
  • Experience from leading, empowering and developing other specialists.
  • Experience from leadership support.
  • Previous knowledge of international H&S work and practices.
  • Strong communication skills, written and spoken, in both Swedish and English.

You are:

  • Passionate about H&S, where you have a strong drive and the ability to handle several projects simultaneously.
  • Strategically skilled but also able to handle operative day-to-day questions. You appreciate the variation of being both operative and strategic.
  • Process driven and with the aim of Continuous improvement
  • Confident and enjoys working independently, but with a lot of networking and interactions with the companies and sites within the group.
  • Trustworthy, communicative and a great collaborator. You see the value in building good relationships at every level and you enjoy working closely with our businesses and production units in a fast-moving world.
  • Highly analytical with a problem-solving mindset and you are comfortable in handling multiple projects at the same time.
