The outside world is moving fast and our mission is to lead the shift towards the next generation of transport. Technological development will be a driving force in that shift and our aim is to create efficient future transport solutions through self-driving vehicles. Do you want to lead the section “Autonomous Continuous Integration Platform” towards future challenges? We are looking for an Senior Manager focusing on development environment and our software platform for autonomous vehicles. The area is still new to Scania, so you need the ability to make the unknown clear and create enthusiasm in exploring as well as doing real customer business. Current position-holder moves on to a new position within Scania R&D and we are now looking to find a new leader for this part of the department.

The position
What you will be heading is a part of the department “Autonomous Systems Development” and today soon 65 employees and growing. Together with the group managers reporting to you, and other technical leaders, you continuously develop and support this organisation whilst coporating closely with the wider business. The new renovated office is located apart from the rest of R&D and designed to emphasize an environment where innovation is encouraged. You are in this position responsible for the development environment, simulation and logging systems for the whole department. The software platform for the software package in the vehicle is also develop in the section. The organisation and the way of working is inspired by SAFE and we continuously improve our agile way of working.

Your profile
Leadership is important and the ability to bring out the best from our capable developers. During the coming years the area will go from the current development platform to commercial commitments in both confined areas and on public roads. It is Scania’s ambition to be the best in class at utilizing available technology to create sustainable and efficient transport solutions.


  • Proven experience of good leadership qualities
  • Experience of modern software development, CI/CD and data driven development.
  • Understanding of development within safety critical systems
  • Previously been responsible for an organisation as manager for other managers within the area of product development
  • An interest in software development methods
  • Solid technical educational background

As head of the section “Autonomous Continuous Integration Platform”, you are a part of the management group for the department “Autonomous Systems Development”. In this role you are a part of the team that has the responsibility to develop the whole autonomous system. You will contribute with creative ideas to achieve a leading speed and efficiency within autonomous development at Scania.
