The opportunity

As a Software Engineer in our Stockholm based Tech team you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our Back-End services, tools and infrastructural components. You will also focus on availability, security and scalability as well as performance evaluation and influence on Back-End design decisions and system architecture.

You will be a key player in the HBO Nordic Tech team and support internal stakeholders such as Data Analytics, Data Warehouse, QA, Finance and Marketing to provide the best possible solutions. You will also develop tools and infrastructural components together with external stakeholders.

The role includes interesting and challenging responsibilities and opportunities, where you will play a key part in developing suitable solutions for each project and improve skills in new areas.

Some of the initial projects will include

Participate in the continuous development of our Data Warehouse and analytics platform with solutions for collecting, cleansing, storage and analytics
Participate in the continuous development of our integration platform
Develop and maintain tools to support business needs within the organization
Work with our QA and Tech Support teams to further improve automated tests and monitoring

Who you are

We are looking for someone with:

Solid software development experience, preferably in Java
Experience managing, developing and scaling Back-End systems
Ability to write performant, fault tolerant and secure code
Experience in AWS infrastructure and management is a bonus
Proven skills as a communicative team player with a strong drive, attention to details and with a solution oriented approach
Excellent skills in written and spoken English
